FinNode Announces Call-For-Entries To Second Annual Mobile Rules! Business Plan Competition
World-Wide Competition, Formerly Known as Web2Mobile, Returns With Expanded Categories and Prize Winnings
Santa Clara, Calif. – September 10, 2007 – FinNode, a business and technology consortium connecting Silicon Valley companies with partners in Finland and the U.S., announced today a call for entries to the second annual Mobile Rules! Business Plan Competition (formerly called Web2Mobile). This year's competition has been expanded to include tracks for mobile phone applications as well as business plans that foster or leverage the growing mobile ecosystem. Prizes have been expanded this year to allow for up to six winners.
FinNode has once again teamed up with Nokia, Red Herring Magazine and a host of co-sponsors to stage the competition. Mobile Rules! is open to all qualified entrepreneurs and developers anywhere in the world, and entries can be submitted for two different tracks—one for business plans and one for software applications. There will be one Grand Prize winner and two Runner-Up winners in each track. Prizes will be a combination of cash, development assistance, high-level industry introductions and free products.
The competition was inaugurated in 2006 as the Web2Mobile Business Plan Competition, and attracted tens of thousands of entrepreneurs from around the world. The final winners hailed from Singapore, Finland, United Kingdom and the United States.
